Short-Term Goals
I am just eager to find my place in the field of Health Information Technology. I want to utilize my skills to add value and make a difference. My goal is to find a job where my value and worth are recognized. What I enjoy most in this field is medical coding. I love abstracting records, researching, and identifying each important aspect to best represent every patient encounter. I plan to dedicate myself to continuing my coding education by utilizing my AHIMA membership to access up-to-date information on coding changes.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goal is to be in a comfortable HIT position enjoying my job. I want to look forward to going to work every morning. If I decide to continue in medical coding, I would like to eventually become a Coding Director. I plan to be earning a salary congruent with my value and worth. I am ambitious and aim to excel, but I still want to keep my family as a top priority. I want to be in a company that I respect and feel proud to be a part of. I will always be improving myself and continuing my education for my goal of constant personal and professional growth.
