Awards, Accomplishments & Honors
Due to vigorous study, I was able to test and become AHIMA certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) as well as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). These were extremely difficult tests and I am so pleased that my hard work paid off!
I received the honor of being named to the DeVry Dean's List for Summer 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015, and Summer 2015, and Fall 2015 for earning a grade point average over 3.4 for the semester.
My biggest academic accomplishment has been maintaining a grade point average of 4.0 while attending DeVry University. In an online environment I have had to be self-motivated, self-disciplined, dedicated, and able to balance my education with that of being a mom and a small business owner.
I was honored to be invited to become a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society for my outstanding academic achievements. This honor is given to adults who have achieved academic excellence while also handling the challenges of home and job.
I was honored to be invited to become a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. This invitation is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction based on academic accomplishment, leadership potential, or nomination from the faculty. I have completed the induction process and am now an official member.
